Palmetto Electric WIRE (Women Involved in Rural Electrification) Scholarship

WIRE (Women Involved in Rural Electrification), a women’s organization of Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Inc., will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a youth in our three-county service area.

To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a high school senior living in Palmetto Electric Cooperative’s service area, have average or above-average grades, and a financial need for the scholarship. Also, you must complete an application, submit in 150–200 words how the WIRE scholarship will help you accomplish your educational goals, and include a copy of your high school transcript.

Applications are available at any Palmetto Electric Office or high school guidance office within the Palmetto Electric service area. The scholarship recipient will be recognized at Palmetto Electric’s Annual Meeting, Saturday, May 3. The essay, along with the application and copy of your high school transcript should be mailed on or before Friday, February 29, to:
